469. Ride in a convertible south on U.S. 1 (PCH) in California in the springtime

My Story

Updated June 20, 2010

Spring has always been my favorite season, and I can’t think of a better way to spend it than driving along California’s beautiful coastline. Of course, when I lived back East, I had this idea that it would be sunny and warm and full of the scent of spring. Now that I live here, I know that more often than not, the stretch right along the coast is gloomy and chilly in the spring.

Oh well. It doesn’t really matter. One of these weekends, I’ll rub on some sunscreen and drive up to San Francisco on a Friday night. I’ll spend the night with friends there and then take Saturday and Sunday to slowly make my way back down the coast.
