To Do
460. Take a mineral bath at Saratoga Springs
My Story
Updated April 30, 2009
In Saratoga Springs, New York, the spring water is naturally carbonated and chalk full of naturally occuring minerals. The springs were used by Native American tribes for their healing powers, and introduced to white settlers in the 1700’s.
Lincoln Mineral Baths, a spa facility where they fill a soaking tub with the mineral water, was established in 1915, and you can still go there today to take a mineral bath along with many modern spa treatments.
