I’ve always been in love with the story and history of Route 66. I think the appeal was just driving West and arriving in Los Angeles.

I think that heading to Chicago and following the Mother Road all the way to the beach in Santa Monica would be the ultimate American Road Trip, and there would surely be plenty of interesting sites and stories along the way.
