I’ve been raising my awareness about how supremely lucky I am. It’s so easy to concentrate on lack and all the things I want to do and have and to feel deprived. But all it takes to turn that around is shift focus away from what isn’t to what is.
I tried the gratitude journal thing for awhile where you write down five things each night that you are thankful for during the day. Some people say the exercise made them cranky, but it didn’t bother me. I had a hard time keeping up with it, though.
So I’m finding other ways to pay attention to how lucky I am.
