I think this would be a fun thing to do with kids. When I was young, my family spent a lot of weekends and vacation time at local lakes and once a year we stayed in a cabin in a state forest right along a river. It would have been really fun to write a letter, put it in a bottle, and then see who received it.

I don’t imagine that anyone would be able to resist picking up a bottle with a message inside. How could you resist the mystery and potential?
