1. Write an non-fiction book that people will actually want to read
My Story
Updated September 27, 2009
I’ve combined this goal with #225: Learn how other cultures give birth. I started research on the book, but this project has been temporarily put on hold while I pursue a few other goals.
I’ve always been fascinated by anthropology and learning about the various beliefs and customs of people around the world. What’s even more fascinating to me than examining the differences is looking for the similarities – the things that are universal to all of us. I think that when you find those things, you can really figure out what it means to be a human being.
I’m excited to learn more about the customs and practices surrounding the welcoming of a new life into the world. I want to call the book “Arriving” and I’ve already got plans for two other titles, named “Departing” and “Connecting”.
