95. Stay at a monastery

My Story

Updated October 11, 2010

I have great respect for people who devote their lives to their beliefs and their spirituality, devoting themselves to work and study. There are times when my own life grows hectic and out of control that I long for a simple, quiet life.

I’m sure there are many more such places around the world, but I know of a monastery in Ireland that accepts overnight guests. You can apply and go and stay in a private cabin, where you can rest and be quiet, writing, reading, praying, or meditating for a few days.
