When I first learned about the Titanic in history classes in elementary school, the Titanic had yet to be found. It was an unsinkable ship that had sunk and disappeared without a trace. I love a good mystery, so I was enthralled with the story.

Then, after 12 years of searching, Robert Ballard found it during the summer of 1985. Twelve years after that, James Cameron released his infamous movie.

I don’t know how much is left, but the little girl who was so absorbed in the story in history class would love to go and see what’s there – one of the world’s great mysteries that was finally solved.
