To Do

563. Ride every roller coaster in the continental U.S.

My Story

Neverminded June 20, 2010

I remember when I was a teenager and we went to a theme park. I wanted my dad to go on the roller coaster with me and he said, “No, I don’t want to go – roller coasters are for teenagers.”

I can’t say as that held true, since I loved roller coasters well into my 20s, but I definitely don’t love them the way I used to. I find that I get an awful headache after I’ve ridden a couple. And it seems that they’re only getting taller, faster, and more extreme – and frankly, some of them just scare me.

So, I won’t ride every roller coaster. Me and roller coasters had our day, though, and they were good. No hard feelings.
