To Do
52. Take an acting class
My Story
Updated October 4, 2009
My university offered a minor in oral story telling – I didn’t complete it, but I did give a few of the classes a try. They were pretty fun.
One of my favorites was Reader’s Theater – where you’re basically reading a story to the audience, but you’re allowed to use your script as a prop – roll it up and pretend it’s a gun, hold it up and pretend it’s a newspaper, etc. You also have to learn all about intonation and timing, and being focused on the right things – I imagine it shares a lot in common with acting.
It’s not as though there’s any shortage of acting classes in Los Angeles.
