To Do
557. Be a game show contestant
My Story

Being on a game show sure does look like a lot of fun. The people are always so excited. And really, there’s a game show for just about anyone. While you could win a lot of money, it seems that most people actually don’t win much of anything, so it’s really more for the experience.
I have to say that I’d never be interested in something like Deal or No Deal. There’s just no strategy or challenge in that – it’s just random chance and dumb luck that will see you through that one, and they drag out something that could be done in under a minute into an entire hour-long show.
I loved Who Wants to be a Millionaire when it was very first on television, though I hated that the contestants didn’t have any kind of time limit for answering the questions. My sister and I found it was best to actually just watch it with the sound turned off, and to work on other things, just glancing up at the screen once in awhile to see the new question. After two or three questions, it got awfully tiring to hear the contestants just rambling on and on. “Well, when I was in Paris with my beautiful wife last year…” Just answer the question and be done with it!
I’m a huge fan of Jeopardy! and would love to be on that show one day. Any kind of quiz or trivia show is really attractive to me.
