502. See a full solar eclipse
My Story
Updated February 13, 2010
Well, I guess you can’t actually ‘see’ a full eclipse unless you fancy it being the last thing you ever see, but I’d like to witness a full solar eclipse.
I’ve seen a full lunar eclipse and nearly 30 years later, the experience is still with me. It was one of the most amazing nighttime sites of my life.
And I did see a partial solar eclipse once, coincidentally while wandering the tables and stalls along the Venice Beach boardwalk one summer a few years ago. A friend and I paid a dollar to borrow a man’s little shade thing to look at it safely – a little bite taken out of one side of the sun.
