274. Carry someone else’s burden
I think I can safely say that this one was completed, though it’s certainly not something I’d walk away from and never do again.
I think we forget that we’re all carrying a burden. One of my most favorite episodes of the tragically cancelled “Joan of Arcadia” was the one where God insisted that Joan learn to juggle. Joan, frustrated and convinced the exercise was pointless, didn’t understand why it was so important. Until she learned at the end that we all have a heavier burden than we can carry, and the way we manage is to ‘juggle’ to only bear the weight of a burden or two at a time.
I’ve definitely jumped in to help without being asked whenever I could, and I intend to keep doing so.
