107. Stay at a parador in Spain
Updated February 27, 2011
A parador is a castle, monastary, fortress, convent, or other historic building that’s been converted to a modern hotel for the delight of travellers. I’d love to do an entire parador tour of Spain, and just travel from one to the next, surrounded in majestic and beautiful surroundings.
I kind of feel like Spain gets left out a lot – people head off to Ireland, England, France, Italy, Greece, but I don’t hear about people visiting Spain all that often. Too bad, because it looks like it is so beautiful and full of amazing history and little treasures.
